Actor Akanksha Chamola continues to make headlines with her candid revelations on Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa. After opening up about her separation from husband Gaurav Khanna, the actress has now admitted that she wasn’t happy with his surprise appearance on the reality show.

In a recent episode, Akanksha revealed that she would have preferred to meet her parents—or even her pet dog—instead of her estranged husband, leaving fellow contestants surprised.

“He Was Like a Stranger”

The conversation began after actor Dheeraj Dhoopar’s wife, Vinny Arora, entered the show for an emotional reunion with her husband. Watching the heartfelt moment, contestant Shreya Kalra confessed that she was missing her boyfriend and hoped he would visit her too.

Responding with humour, Akanksha said that unlike the others, it wasn’t really her family who had come to meet her.

She joked that fellow contestant Varun Yadav had teased her by saying it wasn’t family but a “stranger” who had entered for her, referring to Gaurav Khanna.

The light-hearted remark left everyone around her laughing, but it also reflected the emotional distance she now feels in the relationship.

“I Wanted My Comfort”

Explaining why Gaurav’s visit didn’t bring her comfort, Akanksha said she would have felt much happier if one of her parents had come to meet her.

She added that she needed emotional support for herself rather than the visit being about Gaurav. In a candid moment, the actress even joked that she would have been happier if her pet dog had entered the show instead.

Her honest confession drew laughter from the contestants but also highlighted how much her personal life has changed over the past year.

Akanksha and Gaurav’s Relationship

Akanksha Chamola and Gaurav Khanna got married in November 2016 after reportedly falling in love while working in the television industry.

During the premiere episode of Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa, Akanksha revealed that the couple has been living separately for nearly a year and is heading for a divorce.

However, when Gaurav made a surprise appearance on the show earlier, he clarified that although they are separated, they are still legally married and have not yet filed for divorce.

Over the course of the reality show, Akanksha has also spoken openly about her sexuality and the challenges she has faced in her personal life.
