Bollywood actor John Abraham has expanded his real estate portfolio with the purchase of a luxurious bungalow in Mumbai’s upscale Bandra West. The actor has reportedly bought the property for ₹84 crore, making it one of the latest high-value “trophy home” deals in the city’s premium real estate market.
According to property registration documents, the bungalow is located on St. Martin Road in Bandra West, one of Mumbai’s most sought-after residential areas. The property sits on a plot measuring over 1,000 square metres and includes an existing bungalow along with an outhouse.
The sale was officially registered on July 14, 2026, with John Abraham paying approximately ₹5.04 crore in stamp duty. The property was purchased from members of the Divitre family through a registered conveyance deed.
Mumbai’s Luxury Bungalow Market Continues to Boom
John Abraham’s latest purchase reflects the growing demand for independent luxury bungalows in Mumbai. With very few standalone homes available in prime locations such as Bandra, Juhu, and Malabar Hill, these properties have become some of the city’s most valuable real estate assets.
Experts say the limited supply of such homes has significantly increased their value, making every transaction a major event in Mumbai’s luxury property market.
Not John Abraham’s First Premium Property
This isn’t the first time John has made headlines for a big-ticket property deal. In December 2023, the actor purchased another luxury bungalow in Mumbai’s Khar area for around ₹70.83 crore.
Located on Linking Road, the Khar property spans over 7,700 square feet of land and includes a spacious bungalow. At the time, John had paid over ₹4 crore in stamp duty for the purchase.
Apart from buying premium properties, the actor has also invested in Mumbai’s rental market. Over the years, he has leased out several apartments in Bandra, generating substantial rental income.
Luxury Home Deals on the Rise
John Abraham’s latest acquisition comes at a time when Mumbai is witnessing a series of record-breaking luxury property deals.
Recently, Villa Wilson, a Spanish-style bungalow in Juhu, was sold for ₹135 crore, while the iconic Leela bungalow in Juhu changed hands for an impressive ₹221 crore.
Another landmark property, Laxmi Nivas on Nepean Sea Road, known for its historical significance during India’s freedom movement, was sold for ₹276 crore, highlighting the strong demand for heritage and premium homes in Mumbai.
A Growing Investment Portfolio
Known for his successful acting career and smart investments, John Abraham continues to make strategic moves beyond the film industry. His latest Bandra bungalow not only adds another prestigious address to his property portfolio but also reflects the growing trend of celebrities investing in Mumbai’s rare and highly coveted luxury homes.
With demand for exclusive bungalows showing no signs of slowing down, Mumbai’s high-end real estate market continues to attract celebrities, business leaders, and investors looking for landmark properties.
