Just days after celebrating the success of Maa Inti Bangaaram, Samantha Ruth Prabhu has shared some joyful personal news that has delighted her fans across the country. The actor has officially confirmed that she is expecting her first child with husband Raj Nidimoru and will soon be taking a maternity break from work.
Samantha made the announcement during the success meet of Maa Inti Bangaaram in Hyderabad on Wednesday. Addressing the media, the actor spoke candidly about stepping away from films for a while as she prepares for motherhood.
“After Maa Inti Bangaaram, I will have to take a small gap, given my condition. I’ll have to take maternity leave. After that, I’ll be back with another film for my fans,” Samantha said, drawing loud cheers and applause from those present.

As soon as she shared the news, congratulatory messages poured in from the audience and industry members. Samantha thanked everyone for their love and blessings, visibly moved by the warm response. Sitting beside her, husband Raj Nidimoru was seen smiling proudly as she confirmed the happy news.
The announcement comes after weeks of speculation surrounding Samantha’s pregnancy. Social media was abuzz following recent clips from the film’s success celebrations, where fans noticed what appeared to be a baby bump. With Samantha now confirming the news herself, the rumours have finally been put to rest.
Adding to the excitement, Maa Inti Bangaaram director Nandini Reddy recently hinted at the development while speaking about the film’s success. She described Samantha’s pregnancy as a beautiful moment that coincided with the movie’s strong performance at the box office.
Samantha’s journey over the past few years has been one of resilience and transformation. After her separation from actor Naga Chaitanya in 2021, she focused on her career and personal growth. Her relationship with filmmaker Raj Nidimoru gradually came into the spotlight after the two worked together on projects like The Family Man Season 2 and Citadel: Honey Bunny. The couple surprised fans by tying the knot in December 2025 at the Isha Yoga Centre in Coimbatore.
Professionally, Samantha is enjoying one of the biggest successes of her career. Maa Inti Bangaaram has emerged as a box-office hit, grossing over ₹50 crore worldwide and becoming her highest-grossing solo film to date.
Now, as she prepares to embrace motherhood, Samantha is entering a new and exciting chapter of her life. While fans will miss seeing her on screen for a while, the actor has already promised that this is only a temporary break.
For now, Samantha has two reasons to celebrate a successful film and the joy of starting a family. And if her message is anything to go by, she plans to return stronger than ever after her maternity leave.
