Actor Bobby Deol is all praise for Alia Bhatt and the upcoming action film Alpha. The actor recently opened up about his experience working on the film and shared why he believes ‘Alpha’ is going to feel completely fresh and different for Indian audiences.
The film stars Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in lead roles and focuses heavily on action, something still relatively rare for female-led films in Bollywood. Bobby said that this is exactly what excited him the most about the project.
Talking about working with Alia for the first time, Bobby revealed that he had always wanted to collaborate with both Alia and Ranbir Kapoor. He had already worked with Ranbir in Animal, and now ‘Alpha’ gave him the chance to finally share screen space with Alia as well.
Bobby said he genuinely enjoyed the experience and called both Ranbir and Alia extremely warm and talented people. However, what impressed him the most during ‘Alpha’ was Alia’s seriousness and dedication towards action scenes.
According to Bobby, Alia had never done this kind of intense action before, but she came to the set extremely prepared every single day. He shared that action films are physically exhausting because they require strength, timing, discipline, and long shooting hours, but Alia pushed herself fully into the role.
The actor explained that he could clearly see how much effort Alia was putting into every sequence. Whether it was rehearsals, stunt preparation, or emotional scenes mixed with action, she remained fully focused throughout the shoot.
Bobby also spoke about how refreshing it felt to work on a big action film led by two female actors. He said Indian audiences are used to seeing male stars dominate action movies, so ‘Alpha’ brings a completely new energy and visual experience to the screen.
According to him, the makers were very clear that the action should not look artificial or overly cinematic. Producer Aditya Chopra and director Shiv Rawail reportedly wanted the action to feel raw, realistic, and grounded.
Bobby admitted that because of this approach, the shoot became physically demanding for everyone involved. The team reportedly focused on making the fights look believable rather than glamorous, which required intense preparation from the actors.
The actor said he personally likes ‘Alpha’ because it feels new and different from regular Bollywood action films. He believes audiences will enjoy watching something fresh in theatres, especially with two women leading such a large-scale action project.
Apart from Bobby, Alia, and Sharvari, the film also features Anil Kapoor in a key role. The movie is currently one of the most awaited releases and is scheduled to hit theatres worldwide on July 10, 2026.
