Actor Tara Sutaria has finally reacted to the repeated delay of Yash’s much-awaited film Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups. Speaking during her appearance at the Cannes Film Festival, Tara said the reasons behind the postponement are “completely valid” and assured fans that the wait will be worth it.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Tara opened up about her experience working on the film and praised director Geetu Mohandas for creating a unique cinematic world. Calling the project “fearless and fabulous,” the actress said every character in the film carries immense strength and courage.

Talking about her role, Tara revealed that she plays Rebecca, a fascinating character in the ensemble-cast drama. She also highlighted that the film strongly focuses on powerful women and presents them in a bold and refreshing way. According to Tara, the visual style, storytelling, and fashion in the movie will surprise both Indian and international audiences.

Addressing the delays surrounding the film, Tara explained that filmmaking is a collective process and actors cannot think of a project as their personal property. She said her responsibility was to give her best performance, while the makers were handling larger decisions regarding the release and scale of the film.

“The reasons behind the delay are valid,” Tara shared, adding that the extra time would help the makers shape Toxic into a grand global cinematic experience. She also mentioned that while she understands fans are eager to watch the film, patience will ultimately benefit the project and help it gain worldwide appreciation.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups stars Kannada superstar Yash in the lead role and is considered one of the most anticipated films of the year. The film was initially expected to clash at the box office with Dhurandhar 2, but its release plans changed multiple times due to production-related decisions and the makers’ vision of delivering a larger-than-life spectacle.

With Tara’s latest comments creating fresh excitement, fans are now even more curious to see what Yash and Geetu Mohandas have planned with Toxic.
