Veteran film producer R. B. Choudary, founder of Super Good Films and a towering figure in South Indian cinema, passed away in a tragic car accident near Udaipur on Tuesday. His mortal remains are expected to be brought to Chennai on Wednesday.
Choudary’s sudden demise has sent shockwaves across the film fraternity, with leading actors and industry figures expressing deep sorrow over the loss of a man widely regarded as a pillar of commercial cinema. Known for nurturing talent and backing successful films, he played a pivotal role in shaping several careers across Tamil and Telugu industries.
Actor-politician Pawan Kalyan shared an emotional note on X, expressing disbelief over the tragic news. He recalled working with Choudary in Suswagatham, a film that went on to become a major success. Highlighting the producer’s keen eye for storytelling, he praised his ability to select family-oriented subjects and deliver films with strong emotional appeal, adding that Choudary held a special place in both Telugu and Tamil cinema.
