Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar recently shared a heartfelt memory about his early days of financial independence, revealing how his mother played a pivotal role in shaping his mindset when he set out to buy his first home.

Recalling that phase, Akshay spoke about his modest initial plan. “Pehla ghar jab maine socha tha apna lene ke liye… toh maine socha tha ki main 2 bedroom flat lunga,” he said, reflecting on how he once aimed for a simple two-bedroom apartment.

However, it was his mother’s advice that changed his perspective entirely. Encouraging him to think bigger, she told him, “Puttar vadda soch.” At first, Akshay admitted he was puzzled by her suggestion. “Main kaha iss se aur vadda ki sochanga, 2 kamre ka flat mil jaaye iss se vadda ki,” he recalled, highlighting how limited his vision was at the time.

Her words, however, left a lasting impact. Taking her advice to heart, Akshay began to expand his ambitions and eventually considered buying a much larger five-bedroom home instead. This shift in thinking, he explained, became a turning point in how he approached both his career and life goals.

Sharing more of his mother’s philosophy, Akshay said she believed that one’s first home should be truly meaningful and personal. “Jo pehla ghar hota hai, vo apne liye lena hota hai… uske liye bhagwan khud aap ko kisi na kisi tarah paise poore karwa dete hain,” he recounted. Her belief emphasized faith, intention, and the importance of dreaming beyond perceived limits.

Through this anecdote, Akshay Kumar highlighted how a simple yet powerful piece of advice from a parent can reshape one’s outlook. His story serves as a reminder that sometimes, thinking bigger is the first step toward achieving more than we initially believe possible.
