“Be a blissful failure,” says Sadhguru
Sharing his philosophy, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev spoke about his own life experiences and long-term spiritual journey. He explained that true fulfillment comes not from limited goals, but from aiming beyond one’s immediate lifetime achievements.
He said that individuals should strive for goals that may not be completed within their lifetime, emphasizing that progress is more important than immediate success. According to him, such thinking allows future generations to continue building on those efforts.
Sadhguru also reflected on his decades of work with the Isha Foundation, stating that even after years of effort, only a portion of the global population has been reached.
“I know I will die a failure, but I am a blissful failure,” he said, adding that what matters is inner joy rather than external labels of success or failure.
A philosophy of detachment from success
He further explained that once a person experiences inner stability and joy, external outcomes lose their dominance over emotional well-being. In his view, whether society labels someone a success or failure becomes irrelevant if one is internally content.
Alia Bhatt echoes the message
By the end of the conversation, Alia Bhatt summarized the sentiment by agreeing with the idea of embracing imperfection, reiterating the phrase “we must be blissful failures,” highlighting the philosophical tone of the discussion.
The conversation has since resonated widely online for its mix of humor, spirituality, and reflections on modern-day ambition and pressure.
