Ravindra Jadeja Enters Elite Club with 4,000 T20 Runs and Rare All-Round Milestone
Veteran Ravindra Jadeja has added another landmark achievement to his illustrious career, crossing 4,000 runs in T20 cricket and joining an exclusive list of elite all-rounders.
The Rajasthan Royals all-rounder reached the milestone during his side’s 2026 Indian Premier League clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. Jadeja completed the feat with his eighth run of the match, marking yet another significant moment in his long-standing T20 career.
With this achievement, Jadeja has become only the second Indian all-rounder to complete the rare T20 double of 4,000 runs and 200 wickets, further underlining his value as one of the most consistent all-round performers in the format.
Strong Numbers Across T20 Career
Jadeja now has 4,016 T20 runs from 350 matches (254 innings) at an average of 26.59 and a strike rate of over 130. His T20 batting record includes five half-centuries, all of which have come in the IPL.
In the Indian Premier League, he has scored 3,291 runs from 258 matches at an average of 28.12 with a strike rate above 129, highlighting his impact as a reliable middle-order contributor.
International Career and Retirement from T20Is
In T20 Internationals, Jadeja represented India in 74 matches, scoring 515 runs at an average of 21.45, with a top score of 46*. With the ball, he claimed 54 wickets at an average of 29.85.
Following India’s triumph in the 2024 ICC T20 World Cup, Jadeja announced his retirement from T20Is, bringing an end to a successful international T20 career.
Elite All-Round Company
Across T20 cricket, Jadeja has taken 238 wickets at an average of 30.77, including one five-wicket haul and three four-wicket hauls. His economy rate stands at a strong 7.63.
In the IPL, he has taken 172 wickets, making him the most successful left-arm bowler in the league’s history in terms of wickets. Overall, only Hardik Pandya joins him among Indian players with the T20 double of 4,000 runs and 200 wickets.
Jadeja is also the only IPL all-rounder to register a double of 3,000 runs and 100 wickets, further highlighting his unmatched consistency in the league.

In the match against RCB, Rajasthan Royals were chasing 202 and were comfortably placed at 134/4 when Jadeja joined Dhruv Jurel. The pair added a crucial 68-run partnership, guiding the team to victory in 18 overs.
Jadeja remained unbeaten on 24 off 25 balls, including a boundary, playing a steady hand to help his team secure a six-wicket win.
