AAHL and Blinkit Launch India’s First In-Terminal Quick Commerce Service at Mumbai Airport

Mumbai, Maharashtra — April 1, 2026: Travellers rushing through departures at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport can now access essentials with just a few taps on their phones. In a first for India, Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL), in partnership with Blinkit, has launched an in-terminal quick commerce service at the airport’s Terminal 2 domestic departures.

The newly introduced service allows passengers to order items such as chargers, snacks, books, baby care products, and personal essentials directly through the Blinkit app. Deliveries are made within minutes to convenient locations across the terminal, including boarding gates, lounges, food courts, and select retail outlets.

Designed to integrate seamlessly into the travel experience, the service is operated by trained on-ground personnel to ensure efficiency and compliance with airport security protocols. Even permissible liquids like packaged water, juices, and cold beverages are sourced from approved in-terminal inventory.

A spokesperson for AAHL said the initiative reflects a broader vision to enhance passenger convenience through digital innovation. “Adani Airports is reimagining how digital services can elevate the airport experience. This initiative allows travellers to make better use of their time while raising overall service standards,” the spokesperson noted.

For Blinkit, the move marks an expansion of quick commerce into a high-footfall, high-intent environment such as airports. The company sees this as an opportunity to deepen user adoption and extend its instant delivery model beyond traditional urban settings.

Meanwhile, for AAHL, the collaboration aligns with its strategy to boost non-aeronautical revenue streams while improving passenger satisfaction through technology-led solutions. The service also aims to make airport retail more accessible and affordable, offering travellers greater flexibility without the usual time constraints.

With heavy passenger traffic at Terminal 2, the rollout addresses a common gap in the travel journey—last-minute access to essential items—ensuring passengers can get what they need exactly when they need it.
