Ranveer Singh Shocked by Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar Before Its Record-Breaking Success

Ranveer Singh recently reflected on his reaction to the story of Dhurandhar, revealing that he was taken aback even before the film became a box office phenomenon. The actor shared an old clip from the trailer launch last year, giving fans a peek into his initial surprise.

Ranveer on Being Shocked

In the clip, Ranveer said,

“Jab Aditya ne kahaani sunaai main toh hakka bakka reh gaya. Main ne pucha, sir aisa hota hai? He said, ‘Haan beta, aisa bhi hota hai.’ When we first engaged, I was shocked that he was even making something like this. But he said yaar karna hai, dikhaana hai duniya ko hum kaun hai. He assumes the responsibility of Indian cinema and that is why he is a champion.”

He emphasized that director Aditya Dhar takes on the weight of Indian cinema with every project, which is why Ranveer considers him a true champion.
