Ananya Panday Walks the Ramp for Rahul Mishra’s ‘White Gold’ Cotton Collection at Lakme Fashion Week
New Delhi:
Actress Ananya Panday lit up the Lakme Fashion Week runway on Friday, walking for ace designer Rahul Mishra’s latest Fall-Winter 2026 collection, White Gold, which celebrates the versatility and elegance of cotton. The show was held in partnership with the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) and marked another milestone in Mishra’s career-long dedication to sustainable, high-quality textiles.
An Ode to Cotton
Ananya Panday wore a striking white cotton ensemble that paid homage to the fabric often referred to as “white gold” in Asian and African countries. Her outfit featured a button-up white shirt adorned with three embroidered dragonflies along the placket, symbolizing nature’s role as a natural pesticide. The shirt flowed into pleats and a flared waist, layered under a crisp white blazer. She completed the look with white strappy sandals and left her hair open, letting her bangs frame her face.

Rahul Mishra on ‘White Gold’
In a video shared on the official Instagram handle of Lakme Fashion Week, Rahul Mishra spoke about his collaboration with Supima for the collection. Supima is renowned for producing some of the world’s finest cotton fibers.
“As a designer, I have been working with cotton, and I have been using raw Supima cotton in our textiles. It’s a beautiful crop grown in America, and there are various mills in India that work directly by sourcing this raw material. The textiles are really beautiful—the touch and feel are second to none,” Mishra said.
He added that the inspiration behind the collection came directly from cotton itself, with the dragonfly motifs reflecting an ecological philosophy: “It’s all about celebrating the whole ecosystem.”
