However, this week’s appearance was different from his usual interactions, as the superstar was seen standing inside a transparent protective glass enclosure while waving to the large crowd gathered outside his Juhu bungalow.

The additional security arrangement has reportedly been put in place following a bomb threat email allegedly targeting Amitabh Bachchan’s Juhu bungalow. According to reports, a threatening email was received by a school in Mumbai’s Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) area in October. The matter was subsequently reported to the Mumbai Police, who began an investigation.
Although there has been no confirmed public explanation from the Bachchan family about the protective enclosure, its appearance has drawn attention, particularly in light of the reported threat. The arrangement allowed Amitabh to continue his Sunday tradition while maintaining an additional layer of security.

The actor’s latest appearance also comes amid concerns about his health. Earlier, Amitabh shared a message on his blog saying that he had been advised to take a few days off to rest and recover. He apologised to fans for not being able to share his usual updates and explained that he had been instructed to focus on his health.
He later posted another update on Tumblr, writing, “Yet more rest needed .. adjusting .. thinking and wondering .. the human body and its uniqueness.”
His messages prompted fans to wish him a speedy recovery. Despite being advised to rest, Amitabh’s Sunday appearance showed that he continues to value the bond he shares with his admirers.
