Jasprit Bumrah Trolled by Wife Sanjana Ganesan Over Two-Word Anniversary Post
Indian cricket team fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah recently celebrated his fifth wedding anniversary with sports presenter Sanjana Ganesan, but the occasion quickly turned into a light-hearted moment on social media after Bumrah’s minimal caption drew a hilarious response from his wife.
Bumrah took to Instagram on Sunday to mark the milestone, sharing a couple of pictures with Sanjana along with a simple two-word caption: “Happy anniversary.” While the post delighted fans, it also prompted a witty reply from Ganesan.
Responding to the post, Sanjana jokingly commented, “Kidney touching caption yaar,” playfully teasing Bumrah for his extremely short message. The humorous exchange quickly went viral, with fans enjoying the couple’s candid and affectionate banter.

Sanjana later shared her own anniversary post featuring photos of the couple and a heartfelt caption celebrating their journey together.
“No matter where life takes us, no matter how loud the world gets, there’s always this — you, me and a hug that feels like home. Five years married to my best friend. My favourite story, always and forever,” she wrote.
Bumrah’s Stellar Form on the Field
While the anniversary moment captured attention online, Bumrah has also been making headlines for his performances on the cricket field. The Indian pacer played a key role in India’s triumph at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, delivering a standout performance in the final against New Zealand.
Bumrah picked up four wickets in his four-over spell, helping India successfully defend their title and secure a second consecutive T20 World Cup victory. His brilliant performance earned him the Player of the Match award in the final.
The fast bowler finished the tournament as the joint-highest wicket-taker, alongside teammate Varun Chakaravarthy, highlighting his immense impact throughout the campaign.
Reflecting on the achievement, Bumrah expressed gratitude for the opportunity to perform in crucial moments.
“I never want to hide behind; I want to be in the thick of things. I always wanted to do a tough job. When I am able to make a difference, that gives me so much joy — there’s no better feeling than that,” Bumrah said.
He also described the victory as particularly emotional because his family and young son were present during the final.
With both his professional success and personal life flourishing, Bumrah’s anniversary post may have been short — but the love and laughter it sparked online showed that sometimes a few words are enough to create a memorable moment.
