Singer Stebin Ben and actor-entrepreneur Nupur Sanon recently shared insights into the vision behind their wedding celebrations, revealing how they carefully designed the ceremonies to be deeply personal while honouring their cultural traditions.
A wedding rooted in simplicity and meaning
The couple chose to keep their wedding intimate and meaningful rather than extravagant. Every element of the celebration was thoughtfully planned to reflect their personalities and their journey together.
Speaking about her bridal look, Nupur revealed that she wanted the ceremony to feel timeless and emotional. She chose a lehenga designed by celebrated designer Manish Malhotra, who understood the vision she had in mind.
“For the pheras, I wanted everything to feel timeless and intimate. Manish Malhotra understood that instinctively. The lehenga felt like a quiet celebration of tradition and love — nothing loud, just deeply personal,” she said.
Honouring both cultural backgrounds
Stebin Ben also spoke about how their wedding ceremonies beautifully blended their different cultural traditions. Coming from a Malayalam Christian background, the singer said it was important for them to respect and celebrate both Hindu and Christian rituals.
“Even though I come from a Malayalam Christian background, the Hindu and Christian wedding felt incredibly grounding and respectful of both our worlds. Manish Malhotra designed our outfits with so much sensitivity — it wasn’t just about how we looked, but about what the moment stood for. It felt like love stitched into fabric,” Stebin shared.
Emotional pheras and symbolic details
For Nupur Sanon, the pheras became one of the most emotional moments of the wedding. She recalled feeling an overwhelming sense of gratitude during the ceremony.
Her bridal veil carried a particularly meaningful detail. It featured embroidered lines in Punjabi and Malayalam — “Tu mere kal da sukoon te ajj da shukr” and “നീ കൂടെയുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ യാത്ര തന്നെ കവിത”, adding a symbolic and personal touch to the occasion.
“In that moment, everything felt still,” Nupur said while describing the special moment.
Jewellery chosen with emotion, not excess
Nupur also revealed that she intentionally opted for jewellery that complemented the moment rather than overshadowing it. Instead of heavy or extravagant pieces, she selected elegant designs that felt meaningful and comfortable.
“I kept my jewellery elegant and meaningful. I didn’t want anything overpowering — just pieces that felt like they belonged to the moment. For me, it was about comfort, grace, and emotion over excess. Everything I wore felt like an extension of how peaceful I felt inside,” she explained.
With their thoughtfully planned ceremonies, Stebin Ben and Nupur Sanon created a wedding that celebrated love, culture, and simplicity — proving that meaningful moments often matter more than grand displays.
