Actor Rajat Arora recently opened up about an intense behind-the-scenes moment while filming the emotional drama Dhurandhar, shedding light on the dedication and preparation that went into one of the film’s most talked-about sequences.

Recalling the experience, Arora shared how he approached director Aditya Dhar with a technical concern before shooting a crucial emotional scene. “I had asked Aditya Sir if I should remove my contact lens, because it’s difficult to cry with it,” he revealed. The scene required him to portray deep grief, as his character reacts to the death of a father figure within the narrative.

Dhar’s direction, Arora explained, was both simple and deeply evocative. He asked the actor to imagine a personal loss, guiding him to channel the emotions one would feel upon losing a father. “You have to bring the same feelings and emotions. Cry as your father has died,” Arora recalled the director saying.

However, the emotional depth of the scene wasn’t limited to a single performance. Dhar ensured that every actor present in the frame contributed to the atmosphere. “Aditya sir had said that everybody who is in the frame should be able to emote that someone very close to you has died,” Arora added, emphasizing how the collective effort elevated the scene’s impact.

Fellow actor Vikramm Bhambri also spoke about the preparation that went into the sequence. He highlighted the importance of immersing himself in the script, especially upon realizing the scene revolved around death. This emotional investment, he noted, helped bring authenticity to the performance.

The result was a powerful and memorable moment in Dhurandhar, one that has sparked widespread discussion among audiences and critics alike. The scene stands as a testament to the cast’s commitment and Dhar’s vision, demonstrating how thoughtful direction and genuine emotion can come together to create a lasting cinematic impact.
