Actor Anushka Sharma and Indian cricket star Virat Kohli have always spoken about their strong bond and mutual support despite their busy professional lives. However, balancing their demanding careers has often meant that the couple gets very limited time together.
In a throwback 2020 interview with Vogue India, Anushka shared an interesting detail about the early months of their marriage. She revealed that due to their hectic schedules, the couple barely managed to spend time together.
According to Anushka, people often assume that whenever she travels to meet Virat during his overseas tours, it is like a holiday. But in reality, their visits usually revolve around work commitments.
“People assume when I’m visiting Virat or when he is visiting me that it’s a holiday, but it’s really not. One person is always working,” Anushka said.
She further revealed that in the first six months after their wedding, the couple spent only 21 days together in total. “In fact, during the first six months of our marriage, we spent 21 days together. Yes, I actually calculated,” she added.
The actor explained that whenever she visits Virat during his cricket tours abroad, the aim is simply to make time for each other, even if it’s just for a short meal together.
“So when I visit him overseas, it’s to squeeze in that one meal together. It’s precious time for us,” Anushka shared.
Despite their packed schedules, the couple continues to prioritise their relationship and often expresses admiration for each other, showing how they make their bond work even with the challenges of their high-profile careers.
