Bollywood star Kriti Sanon has expressed her wish to reunite with Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu, more than a decade after the two shared screen space in 1: Nenokkadine. Looking back at her Telugu debut, Kriti described the film as one of the most memorable experiences of her career and said she would love the opportunity to collaborate with Mahesh once again.

In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Kriti fondly recalled working on 1: Nenokkadine, the 2014 psychological action thriller directed by Sukumar. Although the film received mixed results at the box office upon release, it has since earned a loyal fan following and is now regarded by many as a cult classic. For Kriti, the project marked the beginning of her acting journey and holds a special place in her heart.

Reflecting on those early days, the actress said she was completely new to the industry and was still discovering herself as a performer. Working alongside an established star like Mahesh Babu gave her valuable learning experiences that helped shape her career.

Speaking about a possible reunion, Kriti shared that she believes it would be exciting to work together again after both of them have grown professionally over the years.

“I would love to work with Mahesh Babu again. Back then, I had just started my career, and now, after evolving as an actor, I think it would be really amazing to share the screen with him once more,” she said.

A Memorable Debut

1: Nenokkadine was Kriti Sanon’s first film in the Telugu industry and also her first major acting assignment. Directed by Sukumar, the film featured Mahesh Babu as rock musician Gautam, a man struggling to distinguish reality from hallucinations while searching for the truth behind his parents’ mysterious deaths.

Soon after making her Telugu debut, Kriti entered Bollywood with Heropanti opposite Tiger Shroff in 2014. Since then, she has built an impressive career with films such as Bareilly Ki Barfi, Luka Chuppi, Mimi, Bhediya, Crew, and Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. Her performance in Mimi earned her the National Film Award for Best Actress, establishing her as one of the industry’s leading performers.
