Television actor Rupali Ganguly has shared her views on the ongoing NEET paper leak protests, supporting students’ demand for a fair and transparent examination system while strongly condemning violence during demonstrations.
The Anupamaa actor reacted after the recent clashes during the “Chalo Sansad” march in Delhi, where videos of police using lathis and tear gas on protesters sparked widespread debate. While acknowledging students’ concerns, Rupali said that violent actions, attacks on police personnel, and damage to public property can divert attention from the actual issue.
Rupali Ganguly Supports Students’ Demand for Justice
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Rupali Ganguly said that students have every right to demand accountability and reforms in the education system.
She wrote that the demand for justice over alleged paper leaks is valid and that students deserve a reliable examination system with proper safeguards to prevent such incidents in the future.
However, she added that those who break the law, attack police personnel, or damage public property cannot represent the true spirit of a student movement.
According to Rupali, such actions only weaken a genuine cause and allow the main concerns of students to get overshadowed.

Calls for Peaceful Protests
Rupali emphasized that peaceful demonstrations are the strongest way to bring about meaningful change.
She said that when a movement turns violent, it becomes easier for the original issue to lose focus. She also warned against allowing political or other interests to influence student protests.
The actor urged students and citizens to remain united and ensure that their voices are heard through democratic and peaceful methods.
She wrote that the future of students is too important to become a tool for anyone else’s agenda.

In her statement, Rupali also mentioned that investigations into recent paper leak allegations are underway.
She pointed out that authorities have initiated probes, made arrests, and announced measures aimed at improving the examination process.

The protests began after allegations of irregularities and paper leaks in the NEET examination created anger among medical aspirants across the country.
Thousands of students, parents, and supporters have participated in demonstrations demanding a fair examination process and accountability from authorities.
The movement gained further momentum after the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) began leading protests at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar. The situation intensified during the July 20 “Chalo Sansad” march in Delhi.
While protesters claimed they were peacefully raising their concerns, authorities said some demonstrators violated restrictions and clashed with security personnel. Police used tear gas and batons to control the situation, while protesters alleged excessive use of force.
