After days of speculation surrounding the future of his upcoming film, Salman Khan has reignited excitement among fans with a striking new social media post. The actor shared an unseen picture of himself and simply captioned it, “MAATRUBHUMI,” leaving fans convinced that the much-awaited film is very much on track.
In the photo, Salman is seen surrounded by nature, showing off his fit physique while enjoying the peaceful outdoors. Although the image is not believed to be from the film itself, the caption quickly grabbed everyone’s attention because it came just days after the makers dismissed rumours that the project had been shelved.
Recently, several reports claimed that Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace had run into trouble with the censorship process and could face an indefinite delay or even cancellation. However, Salman Khan Films strongly denied these claims, calling them false and baseless.
The production house clarified that the film has not even been submitted to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) for certification yet. As a result, reports suggesting that the film had faced objections from the censor board were completely inaccurate. The makers also urged media outlets and social media users not to spread unverified information.

Produced by Salman Khan Films and directed by Apoorva Lakhia, Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace also stars Chitrangada Singh in a key role. The film was initially announced as Battle of Galwan before being renamed earlier this year. Inspired by the 2020 Galwan Valley clash, the film reportedly underwent changes during production, including modifications to certain references in the story.
Originally scheduled for release earlier this year, the film was postponed, and a new release date has not yet been announced.
For now, Salman’s one-word post has been enough to revive fans’ excitement, with many eagerly waiting for the next official update on one of his most anticipated films.
