Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has won hearts with her performance in Maa Inti Bangaaram, but what many fans didn’t know was that she filmed parts of the movie while she was pregnant. Director Nandini Reddy has now opened up about the experience, revealing the extra care the team took to ensure Samantha’s health and comfort throughout the shoot.
Speaking about the film, Nandini shared that the production began in November 2025 and was completed over six to seven months. Fortunately, by the time Samantha discovered she was expecting, most of the physically demanding scenes had already been filmed.
However, a few important sequences, including the energetic song Thassadiya and a car chase scene, were still left to shoot. Since these scenes required physical effort and were filmed outdoors, the makers carefully planned the schedule to keep Samantha safe.
Nandini revealed that the crew made several adjustments during filming. They avoided shooting under the harsh afternoon sun, scheduled regular breaks, and ensured Samantha was never pushed beyond her limits. The team also reduced the physical strain during action sequences so she could perform comfortably without risking her health.
According to the director, the entire unit worked together to make sure Samantha remained comfortable on set while still delivering the performance the film required.
Nandini couldn’t stop praising the actress for her professionalism and dedication. She described Samantha as a complete performer who excels in every aspect of acting, whether it’s emotional scenes, comedy, action, or dance.

The director said the team’s main goal was to present Samantha in the way audiences have always loved seeing her. She believed that celebrating Samantha’s strengths as a performer would naturally connect with fans and bring them back to theatres.
Calling the film a “one-woman show,” Nandini said Samantha may appear petite, but she carries enormous responsibility with confidence and determination. She also appreciated the support of the entire cast, including Gulshan Devaiah, Manjusha Mukkavilli, Sreemukhi, and others, for working together to make Samantha shine in every scene.
Released on June 19, Maa Inti Bangaaram has received a positive response from both audiences and critics. With Nandini’s latest revelations, fans are now praising Samantha even more, admiring her commitment to completing the film while prioritising her health and following all necessary precautions.
The behind-the-scenes details have offered a new perspective on the actress’s dedication, making her performance in Maa Inti Bangaaram even more inspiring for her fans.
