Sunita Ahuja has once again grabbed headlines with her candid remarks about husband Govinda. Known for speaking openly about their marriage and personal life, Sunita recently revealed that the Bollywood star now uses a hair patch, adding that there is absolutely nothing embarrassing about it.

During a conversation with Mashable India, Sunita fondly recalled the early days of her relationship with Govinda and praised his good looks. Calling him one of the most handsome actors of his generation, she said that while he still looks charming today, there has been one noticeable change over the years.

“Even now he looks handsome, but at that time he had his original hair. Now he wears a patch,” Sunita said with complete honesty.

When the interviewer reacted with surprise, Sunita quickly defended the practice and pointed out that hair patches have become common in the entertainment industry. According to her, there is no reason for actors to hide it or feel uncomfortable discussing it.

“What’s there to hide? Many heroes do it. Men and women both use patches,” she said, normalising a trend that has long existed in show business but is rarely discussed openly.

Despite teasing Govinda about his hair patch, Sunita had nothing but praise for his talent and legacy. She described him as a truly unique performer whose combination of acting, comedy, dancing and screen presence remains unmatched even today.

“My husband is one piece. There has never been anyone like him in the industry and there never will be,” she said proudly.

However, Sunita also spoke candidly about their married life and admitted that while Govinda has always been a devoted family man, he wasn’t always the ideal husband she had imagined. In another interview, she revealed that she would prefer a son like Govinda rather than a husband like him.

According to Sunita, Govinda spent most of his life working tirelessly to provide for his family and rarely took time to enjoy life for himself. She said she loves travelling, attending parties and going out for dinners, but Govinda remained completely focused on his career and responsibilities.

“I always say that I want a son like Govinda, not a husband. He is a good son and a good brother. But he never really lived for himself,” she said.

Sunita added that despite her occasional complaints, she has immense respect for her husband and the sacrifices he made for the family over the years. The couple has been married since 1987 and has spent nearly four decades together.

Their relationship has frequently made headlines over the past year after Sunita publicly hinted at issues in their marriage and even alleged that Govinda had an extramarital affair. Responding to those reports recently, Govinda dismissed the allegations and called them part of a larger conspiracy against him.

Speaking to ANI, the actor said that remaining silent was making people assume he was weak or responsible for the rumours surrounding him. He claimed that certain people were attempting to damage his image and that even some family members could unknowingly be getting caught up in the situation.

“What I’ve been observing lately is that sometimes when we don’t speak, we either appear weak or it seems like we are simply the problem. So today, I’m responding,” Govinda said.

Despite the public speculation, Govinda and Sunita continue to remain one of Bollywood’s longest-lasting couples. They are parents to daughter Tina Ahuja and son Yashvardhan Ahuja, who is preparing to make his Bollywood debut soon.

With her latest revelation about Govinda’s hair patch, Sunita has once again shown why fans admire her straightforward nature. Rather than treating it as a secret, she chose to speak about it openly, reminding everyone that appearance changes with age and there is no shame in embracing it.
