The announcement quickly caught the attention of social media users, many of whom wished the newlyweds a happy married life.
Mohsin was previously married to actress Urmila Matondkar. The couple got married on February 4, 2016, in an intimate ceremony attended by close family and friends. Their wedding made headlines because of their age difference, with Mohsin being younger than Urmila, and also because it was an interfaith marriage.
The two first met in 2014 during the wedding celebrations of fashion designer Manish Malhotra’s niece. Their friendship gradually turned into a relationship, eventually leading to marriage.
Their wedding celebrations included a visit to the Golden Temple in Amritsar, followed by a traditional nikah ceremony. Designer Manish Malhotra was among the few celebrities present during the private celebrations.
Reports about trouble in their marriage first surfaced in 2024, and later it was reported that Urmila had filed for divorce. The couple eventually parted ways, choosing to keep the details of their personal lives largely private.
While Mohsin has now started a new chapter, Urmila Matondkar continues to be remembered as one of Bollywood’s most talented actresses. She began her journey as a child artiste and later became a leading star with films such as Rangeela, Satya, Judaai, Kaun, Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, Bhoot and Ek Hasina Thi.
Mohsin’s wedding marks a fresh beginning in his personal life, and his heartfelt message reflects a journey of healing, gratitude and hope for the future.
