Separately, reports have emerged regarding personal developments involving Vijay’s wife, Sangeeta Sornalingam. According to court filings in the Chengalpattu family court in Tamil Nadu, she has reportedly filed for divorce.
In her petition, she has alleged claims including extramarital relationship accusations and mental cruelty. She has also sought dissolution of marriage, residence rights, and permanent alimony, as per reports cited by PTI.
About Vijay and Sangeeta
Vijay and Sangeeta married in 1999 in Chennai in an interfaith ceremony. The couple has two children — son Jason Sanjay, born in 2000, and daughter Divya Saasha, born in 2005.
Despite Vijay’s massive popularity in Tamil cinema, Sangeeta has largely remained away from the public spotlight over the years.
