Peaky Blinders Sequel First Look: Jamie Bell Leads a New Shelby Era
Netflix has officially unveiled the first look at the highly anticipated sequel series to Peaky Blinders, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the iconic crime saga. The upcoming show introduces Jamie Bell as Duke Shelby, the son of Cillian Murphy’s legendary character, Thomas Shelby.
A New Generation Takes Over
Set a decade after the events of Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, the new series shifts focus to the next generation of the Shelby family. The story unfolds in the 1950s, exploring a transformed, post-war Birmingham filled with opportunity—and danger.
The official logline teases a darker and more intense narrative: as the city rebuilds after World War II, power struggles intensify, and at the center stands Duke Shelby—older, wiser, and far more dangerous.
Casting Changes and Expanding Ensemble
The character of Duke Shelby was previously portrayed by Barry Keoghan in The Immortal Man. However, Jamie Bell will now take over the role for the series, signaling a fresh direction for the character.
Joining Bell is Charlie Heaton, known for his roles in Stranger Things and Industry. The ensemble cast also includes Jessica Brown Findlay, Lashana Lynch, and Lucy Karczewski.
