Director Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar 2 brings audiences face-to-face with the notorious underworld figure Dawood Ibrahim, depicting his Karachi residence with striking detail. In the film, Dawood—referred to as ‘Bade Sahab’—is shown living in a luxurious mansion that reflects both his power and his obsession with opulence.
In the narrative, Hamza Ali Mazari (played by Ranveer Singh) climbs the Lyari crime ladder and eventually earns an invitation to Bade Sahab’s inner circle. As Hamza approaches the residence, the camera reveals a sprawling white mansion with large gates adorned with golden dollar signs, armed guards patrolling the perimeter, and pillars flanked by life-sized golden eagles. While Dhurandhar 2 creates a cinematic version of the notorious don’s Karachi residence, reports suggest the real Dawood Ibrahim lives in more discreet locations. Investigations indicate he resides in Qayyumabad, Karachi, in two villas close to the Chinese consulate, with tight security and limited exposure. Additionally, he is believed to own property in the Defence Housing Area (DHA), Phase V, and even in Dubai.
