Arjun Tendulkar Stuns LSG Captain Rishabh Pant with Bat Weight Revelation Ahead of IPL 2026
Lucknow, March 19: Arjun Tendulkar, son of legendary India batter Sachin Tendulkar, left Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) captain Rishabh Pant in awe during a pre-IPL 2026 training session, revealing surprising details about his cricket gear and practice routine.
Hefty Bat and Fatherly Legacy
In a video shared by LSG’s official social media handles, Arjun told Pant that his bat weighs a massive 1,220 grams, even heavier than Pant’s own willow. “Papa toh 1,310–1,315 grams,” Arjun noted, referencing the legendary bat weight used by his father, Sachin Tendulkar.
When Pant asked about the advantage of using such a heavy bat, Arjun simply replied, “Touch karo, ho jaata hai” (All you need to do is just touch the ball), leaving Pant impressed with his confidence and composure.

Dedication Beyond Milestones
Arjun also shared that he had resumed practice the very next day after his wedding to entrepreneur Saaniya Chandhok, and that he had been training with former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh to fine-tune his skills. Pant, clearly impressed by Arjun’s dedication, quipped, “You’re so enthu bhai (You’re so enthusiastic).”
The LSG captain also offered his support, telling Arjun, “Agar kuch lage toh batana. Always open for you, kuch bhi ho (Let me know if you need anything. Always open for you, no matter what).”
IPL 2026 Context
Arjun, 26, was traded to LSG ahead of IPL 2026, after spending previous seasons with Mumbai Indians, the franchise where his father once played. A left-arm seamer and left-handed batting all-rounder, Arjun has played five matches for MI across IPL 2023 and 2024 seasons.
Pant, on the other hand, is gearing up to justify his whopping Rs 27 crore price tag in IPL 2026, after LSG failed to reach the playoffs under his captaincy in 2025.
With Arjun Tendulkar’s dedication, powerful bat, and mentorship from legends like Yuvraj Singh, fans are eagerly anticipating how the young all-rounder will impact LSG’s fortunes this season.
