Salman Khan has made his first public appearance following the reported attack on actor Tiger Shroff in Mumbai, and his security arrangements have caught everyone’s attention. The actor was spotted at Mumbai’s private airport on Tuesday morning, accompanied by armed security personnel, including officers from the Special Protection Unit.

The sighting comes at a tense time for the film industry after gunmen allegedly opened fire near Tiger Shroff’s car in Juhu on October 18. The incident has raised fresh concerns about the safety of Bollywood celebrities, particularly those who have reportedly received threats.

According to the report, three people have been detained in connection with the shooting. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde had also said that security arrangements for celebrities would be reviewed after meeting Tiger at his residence. Salman’s latest airport appearance, with visibly heavy security, has added to the discussion around celebrity protection.

Salman Khan’s security draws attention

In a video shared online, Salman was seen at the private airport accompanied by armed security personnel. The presence of additional protection stood out as the actor has faced threats in the past, including threats reportedly linked to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.

Salman has previously received threats connected to the Bishnoi gang, and the latest incident involving Tiger Shroff has brought renewed attention to the issue. An unverified voice message circulating online reportedly mentions Salman while claiming responsibility for the attack on Tiger.

The message allegedly names Anil Pandit and Harman Sandhu and warns people in the Mumbai film industry against working with Salman Khan. However, the authenticity of the message and the claims made in it have not been independently established.

The circulation of such a message has heightened concerns, but it is important to distinguish unverified online claims from findings confirmed by investigators.

Tiger Shroff shooting raises fresh concerns

The shooting involving Tiger Shroff took place in Mumbai’s Juhu area on October 18. According to reports, three bike-borne assailants allegedly opened fire near the actor’s car. Tiger reportedly escaped without a gunshot injury, while his driver and an autorickshaw driver were reported to have sustained injuries.

The incident prompted a police investigation, with several people reportedly detained in connection with the case. Authorities are examining the circumstances surrounding the attack and the claims made by individuals who have allegedly taken responsibility.

Following the incident, Eknath Shinde said that the security arrangements for celebrities would be reviewed. The assurance came amid growing concern over threats and attacks involving people from the entertainment industry.

Salman Khan has faced threats before

This is not the first time Salman Khan has been at the centre of security concerns. In April 2024, gunshots were fired outside his Galaxy Apartments residence in Mumbai. The Bishnoi gang subsequently claimed responsibility for the incident, according to reports.

Later that year, in October 2024, politician and Salman’s close friend Baba Siddiqui was shot dead. A subsequent Mumbai Police chargesheet reportedly examined whether Siddiqui’s close association with Salman could have been a factor in the killing.

These incidents have kept questions about Salman’s safety in the public eye. The actor has continued to make public appearances under security protection, while authorities have investigated threats and attacks connected to him.

Bollywood’s security concerns return to the spotlight

Salman’s appearance at the airport comes as the industry watches developments in the Tiger Shroff shooting case. The incident has renewed discussion about the protection provided to actors and other public figures, particularly when threats circulate online or are attributed to organised criminal groups.

While the reasons behind Salman’s current security arrangements have not been officially detailed in the information available, his appearance with armed personnel highlights the heightened attention surrounding celebrity safety.

As the investigation into the Juhu shooting continues, the focus remains on establishing who was involved, determining the motive and verifying the claims circulating on social media. For now, the reported threats and the attack on Tiger Shroff have once again placed the issue of security in Bollywood under the spotlight.
